Dr. Judy Wong grew up in Richmond, British Columbia, where she attended various local schools. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Biochemistry. She furthered her education at UBC and obtained a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD). While studying dentistry, she was awarded several grants from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council for her research on cleft palates and lips in the developing fetus, a keen interest she has always held. In her pursuit for excellence in clinical dentistry, she has been involved with numerous study clubs, especially in endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics and prosthodontics. She is a long time member of the Vancouver and District Dental Society where she regularly attends continuing education courses to keep up to date on the latest developments in dentistry. She is a Preferred Provider for Invisalign and is certified in laser dentistry.
Besides dentistry, Dr. Wong is also an accomplished pianist, having been trained in classical piano. She obtained her Associateship of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto (ARCT) diploma in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto at the tender age of 15. Ever since, she has been performing publicly at various gala functions, charitable events, weddings, local choirs and churches. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and some French.
In light of the BC Restart Plan, our dental clinic is preparing to reopen on June 9, 2020. For this to happen, the Provincial Health Authorities and the College of Dental Surgeons of B.C. have set out a number of guidelines for this present “new normal” situation. In order to make our clinic a safe environment for all our patients and dental personnel, we are now in the process of making these changes.
